NOREEN N. NCUBE

EDUCATION 

Ms. Noreen Ncube received her B.S. Degree in Accounting from Indiana University-South Bend in 2012. She earned her J.D. degree from Valparaiso University School of Law in 2016. She is admitted to practice law in Illinois.  

EXPERIENCE 

Ms. Ncube is passionate about immigration rights being an immigrant herself. She was a student representative in the Valparaiso University Law School Immigration Clinic during the 2015/16 academic year. As a legal representative, she represented a long-term resident of the United States who had been in deportation proceedings for seven years and, also helped a Salvadoran youth obtain “Special Immigrant Juvenile Status.” 

She handles immigration matters involving family-based visas, removal proceedings, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, asylum, adjustment of status and naturalization. She also advises and helps individuals obtain permanent residence (green cards) and US citizenship. She began preparing family-based applications in 2016 and has helped unite family members. She also helps individuals overcome grounds of ineligibility or other obstacles to a visa, green card, or citizenship – such as waivers for some types of criminal or immigration history.   

Ms. Ncube has experience working as a Case Process Analyst for a federal independent contractor in the Foreign Labor Certification Program where she processed labor certifications for temporary worker (H2B) visas. She has also worked as an Attorney Advisor at the Office of Hearing Operations (Social Security Administration) where she analyzed and formulated comprehensive recommended decisions in claims filed under Titles II and XVI of the Social Security Act.

COMMUNITY SERVICE

Ms. Ncube is a volunteer at the Chicago Legal Clinic Services where she handles family law matters. She also serves as a U.S. Ambassador and a Human Resources Manager for a U.K. based non-profit organization, Khaya Foundation. She has in the past written web content for Lexis Nexis, a leading global provider of legal, regulatory and business information and analytics.
